Touka urges Rikka to accept that their home and father are gone, but Yuuta clarifies that her delusions are not an escape from reality. Rikka flees, prompting Yuuta to find her on a train returning home. During the journey, Yuuta shares the origins of his own delusional behavior. Upon reaching their residence, they discover Rikka lost her key and Yuuta’s family is away, leaving the pair alone for the evening. While Yuuta takes Rikka to a convenience store, Makoto walks with Kumin and seeks Yuuta’s advice, causing him to question if he loves Rikka. As Yuuta attempts to dismiss these thoughts before sleeping, it becomes apparent that Rikka harbors her own romantic feelings for him.
