Cinderella is sent to the royal vineyard to pick grapes, a punishable offense, because her stepmother is jealous that Cinderella dances better than Jeanne and Catherine. The actual thief of the vineyard is revealed to be Charles, who is disguised as a page. Charles flees with the grapes, causing Cinderella to be caught in his place. Her stepmother uses this incident to set her up for downfall. However, Charles learns of Cinderella's difficult situation and decides to confess the truth. His confession clears Cinderella's name and saves her reputation from the false accusations made by her stepmother.
