Ep. 1: Lelouch and Nunnally arrive in Japan and meet Suzaku Kururugi

In 2009 a.t.b., ten-year-old Lelouch vi Britannia carries his blind, paralyzed sister Nunnally up shrine steps in Japan. He explains local customs while Nunnally asks about the Pope. Lelouch clarifies that Prime Minister Genbu Kururugi’s residence is a shrine, not a coincidence. Upon reaching the top, they discover their new home is a dilapidated storeroom. Lelouch deceives Nunnally about the room's condition, claiming it has white walls. He confronts a boy, Suzaku Kururugi, who accuses Britannia of colonization. Lelouch retorts that Japan is similar, referencing Suzaku's father. Suzaku challenges Lelouch’s description of the room and attacks him. Nunnally intervenes, offering to comply with any demand to stop the violence. Suzaku realizes she is blind, panics, apologizes, and flees. Lelouch identifies the boy as the Prime Minister’s son.
