Villetta questions Jeremiah about sitting in the Viceroy's chair, prompting him to warn her about exposing her background. He promises to support her elevation to Baroness after the Purist Faction takes power and delegates Suzaku Kururugi's execution scheduled for tomorrow to her. Jeremiah laments his shame over two Royal Family deaths, recounting his first failure eight years ago at the Aries Imperial Villa where insufficient guards allowed rebels to attack. Moved to Area 11 after this incident, he weeps over his mistakes until Villetta cheers him up. He vows to restore honor for Prince Clovis and former Queen Marianne, aspiring to become the Knight of One. The scene concludes with footage from episode 4, showing Jeremiah under Geass influence ordering his men to stand down and let Zero escape with Suzaku Kururugi.
