Hiroshi informs Shin-chan and Misae that he must leave for a month on a business trip. Misae is initially shocked but eventually agrees and wishes him well. Shin-chan feels sad and realizes he will miss his father, prompting him and Misae to visit his office. Although Shin-chan acts stubborn, Hiroshi helps him understand the situation. The following day, Shin-chan and Misae accompany Hiroshi to the station to see him off, marking the end of their time together before his departure.
