Shin-chan prepares and consumes coffee, which keeps him awake throughout the night. Later, Nene-chan's mother opens a container of sweet potato jelly beans puri to eat, but Shin-chan takes a large portion, causing her distress. Meanwhile, Shin-chan's grandfather Yoshiji visits to assist Misae and Shin-chan while Hiroshi is away. Rather than fixing household issues as intended, he inadvertently makes a mess of things instead of providing the expected help.
