Hiroshi attempts to fix a broken drain spout on the roof but loses his balance due to Shin-chan's interference, leaving him hanging from the pipe. Meanwhile, Shin-chan visits Nene-chan for lunch and consumes half of the meal by himself. Moeko finds comfort in singing and dancing to cope with her situation. Shin-chan discovers an abandoned chick and brings it home. Although he initially intends to return the bird, the vendor decides to gift it to him instead.
