Popular princess Angelise witnesses the state confiscate a baby labeled a Norma and insults the grieving mother. Later, her mother gives her a ring for her Baptism Ritual, a coming-of-age ceremony tied to her ascension. During the event, her brother reveals that Angelise is also a Norma. Her mother attempts to help her escape, but the queen is killed in the process. Angelise’s sister faints from shock, while her father is restrained and likely imprisoned. The brother touches his sister’s lips, muttering about restoring royal purity, and declares himself the new Emperor. Angelise is forcibly conscripted into the military and sent to an island prison against her will.
