Alfeld compels the President and Secretary Kaios to travel to the National Defense Base, where they meet Doctor Mummy, also known as Lex. Meanwhile, Doctor Ozora powers down Future Hope, and Hiro experiences a vision of the leaders dying in a base explosion. Jessica identifies the location, prompting the team to board the Duck Shuttle for a rescue mission. Cobra and Professor Yamano hack the base cameras to confirm the hostages' presence. During the flight, Kazuya explains his past deception as Detector was pre-recorded. Takuya worries about detection, but Otacross guides the shuttle through a canyon to avoid radar. However, LBX units are deployed, forcing Ban, Hiro, and Ran to launch their LBXs on Flying Saucers to engage the base defenses.
