Ep. 5: Unit 6 battles the Gadoll alpha while Kaburagi breaks rules to save the day
Unit 6, featuring Kurenai and Natsume, leaves Deca-dence to clear the fog by defeating the Gadoll alpha. Their initial assault succeeds in a cavern, but they discover dead Gears and the alpha, which anticipates their moves and causes casualties. Kaburagi saves Natsume, urging her to flee, but she ensures her team escapes. Kaburagi disobeys Minato, removes his limiter, and risks altering the storyline to kill the Gadoll. This unscripted action releases a giant Gadoll stargate. Deca-dence and the stargate prepare to fire. Kaburagi exploits a weakness, causing the stargate to misfire, allowing Deca-dence to destroy it. The next morning, Natsume realizes the Gadoll are not destroyed and the battle will never end. Kaburagi is punished for disobedience and refusing to accept that the world must be rid of bugs.
