Ep. 3: Larry and Daniel explore the Asylum for Vista Pazza seeds while fleeing a Scarred attack.
A leader argues that Randolph Syndrome offers opportunities despite its devastation. Larry invites Daniel to a town where they rescue a young dealer from thugs. The dealer requests seeds from the Vista Pazza tree in the Asylum. Larry agrees and takes Daniel on a secret mission to an oasis-like area. They meet an exile named EL-Cee who shows them the tree. Larry admits his desire to understand Randolph Syndrome better. A flying Scarred attacks, targeting EL-Cee. Daniel acts as a decoy to help her escape, but both he and Larry are cornered. Leslie and Sleeper Platoon 11 arrive to rescue them. Back at base, they face severe reprimands for going AWOL. This event convinces Daniel to accept an assassination mission from Commander Vera. However, he later discovers that the intended target of this mission is EL-Cee.
