Ep. 3: Eijun Oversleeps and Faces Coach Kataoka's Strict Pitcher Challenge

Eijun feels uneasy about sharing a room with senior teammates but quickly warms up during his first night. He subsequently oversleeps and arrives late to meet Coach Tesshina Kataoka, a former Japanese professional pitcher. Miyuki also arrives late but attempts to use Sawamura as a decoy to avoid punishment. Kataoka displays no leniency, declaring that Eijun cannot become a pitcher without punctuality. She forces Miyuki and Eijun’s two roommates to run laps for their tardiness. Despite this harsh treatment, Sawamura remains determined to prove his worth. Consequently, Kataoka issues a special challenge, stating that he is barred from playing in any baseball games for Seidou until he completes it. This segment adapts chapters 4 to 6.
