Calumon is attacked by a Digimon and unexpectedly appears in the real world. In Japan, a boy named Takato discovers a mysterious blue card. His intense obsession with the Digimon game drives him to create a Digimon on his computer. Upon finding a Digivice, the device copies the data of his created Digimon and generates a real Digi-Egg. Takato experiences a strange dream featuring a Digimon Tamer named Rika. The Digi-Egg subsequently hatches, revealing the Digimon he created, Guilmon. Takato feels fear of being attacked by the newly emerged creature.
