Ep. 6: Hyakkimaru and Dororo return to find Mio dead after Daigo troops attack the orphans.

Hyakkimaru and Biwa-Houshi return to Mio’s camp, where Hyakkimaru’s leg is injured but his voice has returned. While Dororo questions the children about Mio’s work, Hyakkimaru learns to use his hearing and voice with Mio’s help, growing close to her. Despite partial recovery, he returns to defeat the Arijigoku demon using swords found on the battlefield, which heals his leg. Upon returning to the temple, they discover Mio mortally wounded and Daigo troops killing the orphans, suspecting Mio is a Sakai spy. Hyakkimaru slaughters the troops in a rage until Dororo stops him, fearing he might become a demon. Dororo later finds seed rice in Mio’s hand, taken from the Samurai she hated to fund her farm. After burying the dead, Hyakkimaru and Dororo continue their journey.
