Ep. 26: Hyakkimaru confronts his father Daigo Kagemitsu after a year of hunting demons.

Hyakkimaru kills four abusive samurai who harmed farmers, leaving Dororo behind to join their rebellion. He continues his quest alone, having defeated demons for a year with only one remaining target to reclaim his body parts from the original 48. An old woman reveals his final target is his father, Daigo Kagemitsu, who traded his soul for power. Hyakkimaru learns Kagemitsu is the lord opposing the villagers and temporarily aligns with him. When Kagemitsu orders Hyakkimaru to execute Dororo to prove loyalty, his wife Onui intervenes. Enraged, Kagemitsu kills Onui and his own men. Hyakkimaru reveals he knows Dororo is female and advises her to stay and build a life. He then pursues and kills Kagemitsu, stating Jukai-sensei was his true father. Dororo chooses to remain in the village.
