Dororo and Hyakkimaru arrive in a city where beggar Gutaro has remained stationary for ten years, claiming to suppress an underground monster. Although Hyakkimaru senses a demon, Dororo intervenes to prevent Gutaro’s death and attempts to relocate him. When other methods fail, Dororo drugs the beggar and, out of pity, washes his body, inadvertently removing a protective sutra from his buttocks. This action releases the demon Tsuchibozu. Hyakkimaru then utilizes Gutaro as bait to lure the creature, successfully trapping and destroying it. Upon the demon's defeat, Hyakkimaru recovers his skin.
