Ep. 1: Senbei creates android Arale, disguises himself to buy panties, and introduces her to friends.

The episode begins with Tori drawing before showing Ultraman fishing the Sun from a cliff. In Penguin Village, Mr. Pig announces day at the Norimaki Residence, where inventor Senbei Norimaki creates an android named Arale. She immediately annoys him and is disappointed she cannot shoot rockets from her stomach. Senbei discovers she is farsighted and needs glasses. To buy girl panties without seeming like a pervert, he disguises himself as a woman. He introduces Arale as his 13-year-old sister to Aoi Kimidori at the Coffee Pot. Arale survives a collision with a police car driven by Gala and Pagos. At school, she joins Ms. Yamabuki’s class, befriends Akane Kimidori, Peasuke, and Taro, and impresses them by tearing down a tree. When Gala and Pagos harass her friends, Arale beats them up at the Police Station. Later, Senbei receives a call from the Gyaosu to pick up Arale and her friends.
