Donbe engages in spiteful pranks within Penguin Village but encounters difficulties when his attempt to impersonate Miss Yamabuki to obtain school fish fails. Consequently, Dr. Slump is mistakenly identified as Donbe. Upon realizing Arale's immense power, Donbe becomes trapped and injured. He then confesses to Arale the severe mistreatment he and his parents suffered at the hands of humans. Despite the trouble caused by the fox, Arale invites him to Dr. Slump's residence to receive necessary medical attention for his injuries.
