As their conflict escalates, the seal on Majin Buu begins to fail. Gohan fires multiple Kamehameha waves at the egg to prevent the entity from reaching full power. The shell cracks, releasing pink smoke that leads Supreme Kai to assume Buu is destroyed. However, Gohan detects immense energy within the mist. The smoke converges to form Majin Buu, who manifests as a small, fat child, contradicting the earlier assumption of his defeat.
