Evil Buu kills all humans except Satan, Tien, and Chiaotzu, thwarting Piccolo's delay tactics. Piccolo and Videl persuade Evil Buu to wait one hour for Goten and Trunks to train. Gohan, impatient with Old Kai's ritual, realizes he has already grown stronger and agrees to wait for the full power-up. When Evil Buu kills Chichi for her impatience, an enraged Goten joins Trunks in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. As Evil Buu grows restless after thirty minutes, Piccolo attempts to stall by leading him toward the chamber, hoping to trap him there if the boys fail.
