Following his ceremony, Old Kai directs Gohan to remain motionless for twenty hours to finalize his power-up. Meanwhile, Goten and Trunks master the fusion technique while in Super Saiyan form, resulting in the creation of Super Gotenks. His arrogance nearly prompts another confrontation with Buu, but he is forced to retreat as the fusion timer expires. In a separate incident, Buu accidentally befriends a small dog after healing its injured leg. Mr. Satan attempts to persuade Buu to cease killing humans. However, a hunter determined to defeat Buu independently relentlessly shoots the dog, leaving Buu shocked and enraged by the attack.
