Ep. 1: Goku Returns as a New Threat Emerges on Earth

The narrative opens with a flashback detailing the destruction of Planet Vegeta by Frieza and Goku’s childhood on Earth. Five years have passed since Goku defeated Piccolo at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, during which he married Chi-Chi and fathered a son named Gohan. Goku and Gohan travel to Master Roshi’s island to reunite with friends. Meanwhile, a strange spacecraft crashes on Earth, releasing a man in battle armor who uses an eye apparatus to detect powerful life forms. This stranger attacks Piccolo but departs to find a stronger target. At Kame House, Goku introduces Gohan to Roshi, Krillin, and Bulma. The stranger arrives, surprising the group by revealing a monkey-like tail similar to Goku’s former appearance.
