Kami escorts Goku’s body to the Other World, where he arranges for Goku to traverse the million-mile Snake Way to reach King Kai. King Kai intends to teach Goku advanced fighting techniques so he will be strong enough to face the incoming Saiyans upon re-animation. On Earth, Bulma takes Raditz’s scouter to repair it and locate Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu. Piccolo takes custody of Gohan to train him for the Saiyan arrival. Krillin fails to inform Chi-Chi of Goku’s death and Gohan’s kidnapping. Piccolo reveals Goku’s fate to Gohan, who doubts his own power. To demonstrate Gohan’s hidden strength, Piccolo throws him at a rock, which Gohan destroys reflexively.
