Super Saiyan Goku and Frieza clash beams until Frieza drives Goku into the planet, causing a volcanic eruption. Gohan fights Frieza to stall while Shenron resurrects the Namekians, excluding Krillin. Frieza powers down to 50% to fight Gohan, but the Saiyan's rage overwhelms him. Frieza returns to 100% power just as Goku emerges from the ocean. King Kai contacts the Grand Elder, who sends Dende to Porunga. Porunga grants a wish to teleport everyone off Namek except Frieza. Goku requests to stay behind to finish the battle, so he and Frieza remain as the planet explodes.
