Vegeta attempts to kill Cell using his ultimate attack, the Final Flash, carefully calculating the blast to avoid destroying the Earth. He successfully severs Cell's right arm, but Cell regenerates it instantly due to his Piccolo genes. Cell then knocks Vegeta unconscious. Trunks seizes this opportunity to unleash his hidden powers against Cell. He allows Cell to push him around briefly to create an opening for Krillin to move the unconscious Vegeta to safety. With Vegeta removed from the battle, Trunks and Cell are now ready to begin their real fight.
