Cell seemingly defeats Gohan, but the Saiyan recovers with increased strength. He cautions Cell that pushing him further will release an immense, unknown power. Gohan recounts two past instances where he was forced to unleash his full potential: first to save Goku from Raditz, and later to protect Krillin from Frieza. Rather than fearing this threat, Cell becomes fascinated by the prospect. He resolves to drive Gohan to his absolute limit, eager to test his own abilities against this newly revealed, awesome strength.
