Cell inflicts severe pain on Gohan to force the release of his hidden potential. Android 16 intervenes by grabbing Cell, attempting to detonate the explosive device in his chest. However, the mechanism fails because Bulma removed it during repairs. Cell responds by destroying Android 16 with a single blast. He then shifts his focus to Gohan's allies. Cell's tail opens to release seven tiny Cell Juniors, with one created for each of the Z Fighters present.
