In his final form, Frieza appears invincible and instantly destroys Dende using an energy beam, eliminating the Namekian whose healing abilities had previously restored his foes from near-death. Enraged by this murder, Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin launch a combined assault against the tyrant, but Frieza effortlessly evades their attacks. When Frieza targets Gohan with another blast, Vegeta intervenes to knock him aside, allowing the beam to miss its intended victim. Vegeta then informs Frieza that he has achieved the Super Saiyan transformation. Unfazed by this revelation, Frieza prepares to engage Vegetin combat directly.
