Goku arrives at the battlefield with renewed strength, intending to battle Frieza by himself. He demonstrates his potential as a Super Saiyan by effortlessly blocking the tyrant's energy blasts. While Vegeta mocks Frieza and asserts that Goku is the true Super Saiyan, Frieza ruthlessly kills him with a beam to the heart, followed by cruel laughter. Dying, Vegeta reveals Frieza's past atrocities against the Saiyans and implores Goku to defeat the enemy. Following the burial of his rival, Goku readies himself to confront Frieza, a foe who has remained undefeated by anyone else.
