The match between Reiji's team and Mukai's team begins. While Makio and Sayaka fight to a draw, Daisuke and Kanpa attempt to rescue a mysterious female prisoner. Reiji battles Kyoji, who yields after Chibi gains the strength to win, expressing a desire to learn from Reiji. Reiji then fights Mukai directly. Meanwhile, Daisuke discovers the truth about the prisoner, who asks him to deliver her pendant to her son before dying from exhaustion and malnutrition. Back at the arena, Reiji and Chibi defeat Mukai and his dragon, Shadow Fang.
