The group encounters three contestants harassing an elderly man while traveling to the tournament. Rokkaku mocks them, prompting a confrontation that is halted by a mysterious man. Later, the three abduct Maiko to use as bait against Reiji and Rokkaku. Reiji pursues them but is captured and beaten while Maiko is tied to a dragon. The mysterious warrior returns, revealing himself as Sun Wols, the previous tournament winner. He rescues Maiko, allowing Reiji to defeat the attackers, but Reiji spares them to ensure fair competition. The next morning, Maiko insists on taking revenge herself. She easily defeats the three contestants. Daisuke arrives for the match only to find the conflict already resolved.
