Ep. 34: Reiji and Kohei escape an illusionary cave after defeating a dragon guardian
Reiji wakes up in an ice-covered cave with Kohei, who urges him to fight. Reiji discovers he is blind when Kohei’s attack misses. Kohei reveals his past and asks Reiji to kill him, but Reiji offers friendship instead. They break free from the shared illusion and defeat the dragon responsible. Kohei departs, admitting he lied to manipulate Reiji, while he and Hideaki steal Shinryu. Reiji joins Hikaru, who plans to defeat Daisuke, but Maiko pleads against it. Reiji and Chibi free Daisuke and Kanpa, promising the dragon guardian not to release Shinryu. Meanwhile, Kohei attempts to escape, but Rokkaku and Mahiru intervene. After Kyoji and Sayaka stop Kohei, Kyoji forces him to confess to killing Mahiru’s brother. Mahiru learns the truth and prepares to attack Kohei in a rage.
