Ep. 44: Anna and Jellal confront Acnologia while Mavis faces Zeref at the guildhall

Christina attempts to lure Acnologia into an invisible time rift, but he passes through unaffected. Anna realizes Zeref is keeping the rift closed and tries to reopen it with magic, while Jellal prepares to distract Acnologia through personal combat. Simultaneously, Mavis arrives at the guildhall as Natsu uses Dragon Force to escape Zeref’s control. Mavis tries to reason with Zeref, claiming she has found a way to kill him, but he refuses to listen. Instead, Zeref extracts Fairy Heart from her, rendering her unconscious and using the power to assume a godlike form.
