Ep. 42: August casts a spell to destroy Fiore while Zeref battles Natsu and Acnologia attacks the group.

As Zeref defeats Larcade and fights Natsu, August recovers from Gildarts's assault and initiates a spell to vaporize Fiore. He halts the incantation to protect Mavis after seeing Gildarts shield Cana, then disintegrates while calling out to her. Mavis subsequently gives the Book of E.N.D. to Lucy, Happy, and Gray, instructing them to use it to stop Natsu's death before she kills Zeref. Meanwhile, Jellal defends Erza and Wendy from Acnologia, who proves immune to magic by devouring Jellal's attacks.
