Three months after relocating from Tokyo to Hokkaido with her father, Tsubasa Shiina finds it difficult to adapt to rural living. One evening, she observes a spacecraft crashing in the nearby forest and rushes to investigate. She discovers the unconscious pilot and an alien creature attempting to kill him. Tsubasa enters the vessel and touches a liquid substance that turns her into a teenage female humanoid warrior, allowing her to defeat the monster. Following the fight, the material detaches from her body and forms a clone of herself, who introduces herself as Hikaru.
