Ep. 2: D.D. Explains Maguar Eggs and Hikaru's Nature Before Second Hatching
Aired on June 24, 2001

2
Following the previous incident, pilot D.D. reveals to Tsubasa that he is a galactic police officer transporting six stolen Maguar eggs. One egg hatched during transit, causing his ship to crash on Earth and scatter the remaining five across Hokkaido. D.D. also clarifies that Hikaru is a Ribers, a techno-organic battle armor that refused to return to dormancy after their last conflict. As D.D. and Hikaru prepare to leave Tsubasa, a second Maguar egg hatches and incapacitates the pilot. This forces Tsubasa and Hikaru to fuse into Figure 17 once more to defeat the creature. Meanwhile, Hideo witnesses Hikaru, prompting D.D. to brainwash him into believing that Tsubasa and Hikaru are twins.
