In the main hall of Flügel Manor, Drossel von Flügel meets with Gedächtnis, addressing him as Wandervogel and Wonderful. She notices puddles on the floor caused by roof leaks and orders him to repair them. Gedächtnis explains that he cannot fix the roof due to a lack of funds. He then reveals that he has already discharged 4,274 maids without her knowledge. After further discussion regarding the staff reduction, Gedächtnis suggests that Drossel wear a special helmet to protect herself from the rain while indoors.
