Ep. 13: Ayame Sohma Visits Tohru to Discuss His Distant Relationship with Yuki
Days after Tohru meets Akito, Ayame Sohma, the Snake of the zodiac and Yuki's older brother, visits their home, causing Yuki displeasure. Ayame quickly befriends Tohru, taking her to a gyoza restaurant where he reveals his long-standing distance from Yuki, stemming from the latter's childhood isolation. Concerned by Akito's confrontation with Yuki at school, Ayame hopes to reconcile. Tohru offers comfort by sharing how her mother only understood parental worries after becoming a parent, yet retained childhood memories. Although Ayame fails to bond with Yuki during his stay, he remains at Shigure's house until Hatori arrives the following afternoon to return him, as requested by Hatsuharu. Eventually, Yuki recognizes his brother's desire for connection.
