Suspecting a yokai is hiding in the potatoes Yahiko has been stealing, Ashiya and Abeno travel to the farm where the vegetables were cultivated. They meet a yokai named Nobou, who explains that he is trapped on the property. Every time Nobou attempts to depart, he is engulfed in mysterious smoke that forces him to relive memories from his past before he is returned to his starting point. Desperate to escape, Nobou requests that the duo exorcise him. However, Abeno observes specific details about the situation that suggest the circumstances are not as they initially appear.
