Eventually, Ashiya visits the Mononokean headquarters, where he meets the gloomy master, Abeno Haruitsuki, marking the start of his involvement with supernatural entities.

Desperate to escape, Nobou requests that the duo exorcise him. However, Abeno observes specific details about the situation that suggest the circumstances are not as they initially appear.
