Ep. 8: Ashiya and Zenko help yokai Keshi disguise as human for Bon festival dance

Ashiya and Zenko bring the yokai Keshi to the Mononokean to collaborate with Abeno on a disguise. This plan allows Keshi to experience humanity by dancing at the Bon festival, fulfilling her specific wish. After successfully granting this desire and returning Keshi to the Underworld, Abeno collapses from severe exhaustion and falls asleep. It is revealed that Abeno had recently completed a secret task for the Executive, which he concealed from Ashiya. Ashiya interprets Abeno’s physical collapse as a result of pushing himself beyond his limits to finish this undisclosed job. Consequently, Ashiya feels personally responsible for Abeno’s condition and becomes deeply concerned about his well-being.
