Ep. 1: Miaka's pregnancy ends as Mayo enters the book world to rescue her.

Three years after Miaka entered the Universe of the Four Gods, she is married to Taka, the reincarnation of Tamahome, while Kisuke coaches a girls basketball team. Mayo Sakaki, a team member with feelings for Taka, becomes depressed upon learning of his marriage and Miaka's three-month pregnancy. Upon entering the book, Mayo causes Miaka to faint, and doctors discover the baby has vanished from Miaka's womb. Taka enters the book to rescue Mayo, arriving in a world where ten years have passed and conditions are deteriorating. He quickly reunites with Chichiri and Tasuki, and the trio battles an evil entity disguised as Genbu. Although they defeat the foe, Taka is injured. Taiitsukun then appears, explaining that they must locate the remaining Suzaku Seven, who have all been reborn.
