Ep. 2: Kaen reveals Tamahome's swapped soul and the illusion of his time in Konan.

Kaen explains that Tamahome’s soul resides in Nakago’s body after Nakago took over Tamahome’s form. Tamahome drinks sake offered by Kaen, who then undresses to use Soi’s celestial ability to raise his chi through sex. Tamahome later battles Kouji, the former bandit leader, unleashing Nakago’s blue chi attack that kills many bandits and fatally wounds Kouji. Kouji reveals only a year has passed since the summoning and detonates a bomb. Kaen transforms into Tomo, revealing the sake contained kodoku, a drug that caused Tamahome to nearly kill Miaka. Tomo states that anything Tamahome saw since arriving in Konan was an illusion, though the kodoku was real. In reality, the priestesses are disappearing and Takiko is being erased. Yui enters a trance and is pulled into the book. Chichiri and Tasuki meet Suboshi, who uses Amiboshi’s body. Tomo arrives with Yui, now the Priestess of Genbu, and her first Genbu warriors. Nakago/Tamahome also appears. Realizing Yui stole the book, Miaka enters it to follow her.
