He learns the mirror was discarded by a maid and bought by a strange old man. Following clues to Mt. Dekoboko, they find Nezumi-Otoko trapped inside the mirror by the yōkai Kagami-Jijii. Kitaro enters the mirror world to rescue Kaori and his friend. He battles Kagami-Jijii, who steals his physical form. Nezumi-Otoko temporarily possesses the villain's body but refuses to help.
