Ep. 25: Weed and Jerome battle Hougen in a river, leading to a tragic rescue in freezing waters.

Weed and Rocket reunite with Mel and Hiro before Weed pursues Hougen, leaving Rocket to protect the pair. Jerome rescues Reika from the river and pursues Hougen, who tricks Weed using a Great Dane named Haronosuke. Jerome detects Hougen’s scent and tracks him, while Weed mistakenly attacks the dog. Meanwhile, GB observes Gin healing Kite, Batt, and Buruge at the Ohu army’s secret location. GB joins the fight against Hougen’s remaining forces but is easily subdued. Jerome arrives to save GB, but Hougen recognizes Jerome as the killer of Lecter and Thunder. Jerome attempts to push Hougen into the river, but a leg injury paralyzes him. Hougen beats Jerome and throws him into the freezing river. Weed dives in to save Jerome, and they drift into a snow-covered cave. Ken, Kagetora, and others locate them. Exhausted from keeping Weed afloat, Jerome lets go and drowns, thinking of old friends North, Robert, Rocca, Heuler, and Kaibutsu.
