Ep. 23: The War Of Futago Pass Begins

Kyoshiro and Gin return to the Ohu army's secret location, where Hiro boasts of defeating Kamakiri. While Reika and Mel rest Hiro, GB takes Gin to a hot spring, relieving old soldiers. Hougen surrounds Gajou with troops led by Batt, Kite, and Buruge. Upon hearing of Kamakiri's defeat, Hougen executes the returning soldiers. Weed organizes the Ohu forces into three groups: Tesshin's, Ken and Kagetora's, and Kyoshiro's. Weed, Akame, and Rocket plan an internal ambush on Hougen. As a snowstorm hits, the battle begins. Ken and Kagetora disrupt Batt's forces, allowing Tesshin to attack Kite. Kyoshiro fights Buruge, who uses a deceptive technique to pin him. Remembering Weed's trust and aided by Toube's spirit, Kyoshiro reverses the attack and defeats Buruge. Seeing his troop flee, Hougen realizes Weed's absence and jumps into the gorge as Weed emerges.
