Following a car accident, Shinpachi is hospitalized, prompting Gintoki and Kagura to visit him. The Odd Jobs Trio remains loud, catching the attention of an elderly neighbor who asks for assistance. He seeks a woman from his past, providing only a kanzashi and the clue that its owner worked at a dango shop. The trio investigates but hits a dead end as no one recalls the shop. Kagura enlists Sadaharu to track the scent from the kanzashi. The dog leads them to an unexpected location, defying their initial assumptions about the search results.
