Ep. 13: Yuuji and Amane investigate a note while a hostage crisis unfolds at the Academy.
Yuuji accompanies Amane to an accident site to help her find closure. Along the way, a man claiming to be her biggest fan stops them. After paying respects to deceased friends, Amane shows Yuuji a note found at a location on a map provided by Kazuki, suggesting he is alive. Meanwhile, the man infiltrates the Academy and takes several girls hostage, demanding Amane. Upon returning home, Amane prepares to surrender. Yuuji, monitoring the school via cell phone, devises a plan to resolve the standoff. The hostage taker is revealed to be Chiaki Sakashita’s father, who blames Amane for his daughter’s death. He moves Amane to a washroom for assault. Yuuji snipes him through a 10 cm gap from over 900 m away, ending the crisis. One year later, an unidentified boat enters Japanese waters, with one passenger firing a rocket at Coast Guard forces while the other opens a music box.
