Ep. 22: Mana triggers the Fourth Apocalypse while Shu defeats Gai and sacrifices himself to cure the world.

After Mana’s resurrection, Shu rejects her insults toward Inori, prompting Gai to extract Mana’s Void and initiate the Fourth Apocalypse. Haruka confronts Shuichiro, who commits suicide after admitting defeat. The Undertakers battle Endlaves led by Daryl, while Tsugumi overcomes a skilled hacker, revealed to be Kenji, who is killed by Shibungi. This allows Tsugumi to assist Ayase in defeating Daryl. Shu, near death, retrieves Inori’s Void from a flower and defeats Gai, who reveals his actions were necessary to prevent Mana’s eternal resurrection by Daath. Shu uses the recovered Void Genome to eliminate the global virus, sacrificing himself by absorbing it all. Inori saves Shu’s life. Years later, a blind Shu with a prosthetic arm celebrates Hare’s birthday with friends in rebuilt Tokyo, later reflecting on Inori by a lake.
