Ep. 18: Gai sacrifices coup leaders to stop bombers while Inori transforms to protect Shu from capture

Ayase, Tsugumi, and Argo react to Gai’s actions as Daryl struggles with protecting their former enemy. Gai destroys a UN Stealth Bomber by sacrificing student coup leaders, then forces the trio to join him or die. Daryl intervenes, blaming Gai for his father’s death, allowing Inori and Shu to escape. Arisa defends Gai, revealing his role in the coup and joining the Anti Bodies. Kenji uses a Leukocyte blast to obliterate the UN Naval Fleet, prompting Gai to threaten 256 Leukocyte satellites if interference continues. Three days later, Inori and Shu flee Anti Bodies while Arisa questions Gai’s interest in her. Okina and Kurachi suspect Daath controls GHQ to obtain Shu’s Void Genome and Inori. Haruka apologizes to her son for saving his life. During a clash, Arisa kills her grandfather Okina in self-defense. As Mana mocks Inori, she comforts Shu, transforms into a monster to defeat Arisa’s Endlaves, and asserts her identity before being captured by Gai. Shu resolves to save her.
